Butch Walker came in to talk about his new record, his new book (!) and all sorts of other things today. As you scroll through the pictures, you can listen to the interview.
He is one of my favorite people to interview. I first met him about 13 years ago when he was touring with Marvelous 3 and I was programming a radio station in Grand Rapids, MI. We were playing “Freak of the Week” and they were in town for a show and stopped by the station for an interview. He insisted on meeting me and thanking me for spinning the song (with a giant hug). That never left me because that was a rare thing for a musician to do.
Over the years, we’ve met up numerous times to talk formally on air about his albums (and more informally off air).
