Daily Rewind: The Cult
Formed in 1983 with frontman Ian Astbury, The Cult really made a splash with their second album, “Love”, which contained the song “She Sells Sanctuary”. Since then the song has appeared in movies, tv shows, video games, commercials – including a mash-up version merged with lyrics from Flo-Rida that aired during the recent Super Bowl. Hear that version and others here.
The “Long Version” of the song is a favorite of mine.
